ECU Reflash/Upgrade Throttle Lag Cure

Looking at an ECU redo. I want to gain faster throttle response thats built into drive by wire throttle response. A gain in torque and horsepower would be great. Whats worked and what should I stay away from. Input appreciated. Thanks!

Email me. I organized a couple of big group buys w/ great success. I can still point you in the right direction....not to mention, I got my own W208's ECU tuned, and pretty much ALL the throttle lag is gone now. It's like driving a totally different car now. albertrtsai@yahoo.com

I have been researching this mod over the past several days. I found a seller on Ebay (out of Hong Kong) who has some for Mercs, both auto and manual. $319 shipped...I think I will try this out after reading all the positive things people have said on various MB forums.

The one thing I am most curious about is how it will affect gas mileage. My '05 C230K gets excellent mileage and I don't want to sacrifice it really just for a quicker get up and go feeling. The 1.8 turbo is such a sweet little engine! The DBW system is kind of holding it back though so that's why I'm considering purchasing the Sprint Booster.

Anybody else install one on their C230K ? I'm insterested to know just how much of a difference it really makes. I could put $300 into savings for a new grill and a few hours at the strip club with my buddies...just sayin'.

How others think it made theirs feel is a valid question. How it'll really work in your car is all you need to know, Klinh has a post in Performance Upgrades,Tuning in this Forum, SprintBooster
Check it G

off topic....How are you still sending messages on probation?

As far as booster goes, its tough to justify $300 for a performance mod i know little about so i'm just trying to get a forum feeler and the fact that i'm not getting any, questions the popularity of the mod(sprint booster)....

I searched Sprintbooster a over year ago. I never got a read that it would do what I was looking for. In the performance tuning section, Linh says positive things. I want an ECU reflash that will also add throttle response with small increase in HP & torque.
P.S I can still post, but thats all. No search. No message
Good Luck!

sprintbooster

ive had one on my 430 for about a year now n i think it works great. there is alot less hesitation n the car actually down shifts wen u want it to. normally without it the car would jus hold the gear it was in before you stomped on the gas while you were rolling, n take forever to accelerate.
