The first sight of my amazing Iolith Blue CLK 320 in the Personal Collection Centre, Bremen, an hour before a 1000 mile trip back to the UK via Luxembourg and eastern France in August. The model was released in June in the UK but I had ordered the previous Christmas. Delivery now many months. Best wishes to all new owners.

those are 18 x 8.5 and 18x9.5.
19's cost only a fraction more so i could have put them on instead, but I do a lot of miles and the tyres would cost me a fortune when I have to change them, I didn't want to lose ride comfort either. 19's look much better but be prepared for a giant tyre invoice!!!

HI, that's a 500. no audio mods, the Bose system is quite enough for me. i'm not going to modify it anymore.

Brabus on CLK

Hi Easy Sam,

Great looking car. I also have a CLK, going to put 18" wheels (agree with you compromise between looks and comfort), and the Brabus VI is on my short list. Cannot make up my mind though.

Questions:

Does your CLK have the sport suspension, or the standard. I'm in the US, and the factory sport suspension is not available

You don't happen to remember the wheels offset, front and rear.

Again, it looks great.

Cheers, Johan

brabus

Hi Vodc4,
No I thought the brabus kit was a bit too much money for what it was, brabus fog lights look amazing but i'm happy with the standard benz styling.

Johan,
Thanks man...
I have got the Brabus suspension on the CLK. It lowered the car by around 36mm. It makes it look great and feels even better when driving it!!! I recommend you get the brabus suspension chassis if you get the mono's.
the offset was 35 on both front and rear as far as i know but don't quote me on that, just call up brabus, they are very helpful.

tango,
Hi there, I'm in the UK baby...no doubt!!! (couldn't you guess that when you saw my CLK drenched in rain!!!)

Take it Easy everyone
Sam

Hey Easy Sam

Smart motor. What have you done with your old wheels? I've been trying to get a price off MB for three months for those wheels. I'm thinking about putting them on my CLK (W208).

Cheers

Hi Flyer
I've still got the old wheels and tyres, they're like new, done about 400 miles!! not sure if i want to sell them as i might put them back on when i sell the car cos the brabus ones were 2 expensive!!!. i'll check how much they are worth and then get back to you, do u know how much they are worth? can anyone let me know, if i can get a good price i would probably sell them on.
cheers
Sam

Hi Sam

I've checked with two of my local dealers (Chester and Warrington) and neither can tell me how much they cost, or even whether they can get them yet ...

If you are interested in selling them, then please let me know. Surely you need the space in your garage

Of course, I much prefer your new wheels :p

Cheers

Smile Picture of my new Saks CLK

Here are a few pictures of our new Saks 5th Ave. CLK 500.

I had another CLK 500 on order but it would not have arrived until March so I jumped on this one when it came available.
