CLK550 mods

Hey I have a clk550, thinkin about some far in the future mods just wanna know my options. Im wondering what perfomance upgrades(ecu, exhaust, headers, intakes ect.) are available? I also heard about ecu chips such from Renntech and Powerchip, if anyone has other options please let me know. I am also wondering what they will do as far as my cars reliability, and voiding my waurenty.

Not much you can do to the N/A engine. K&N Filters, resonator delete, chip (powerchip, VRP, etc.) are some of more popular mods.

Suspension upgrade is good, too. Also, look to reduce weight, such as removing the spare, tool kit, etc.

Improving the tires is a good idea as well, really adds life to the performance of the car. Hope this helps.

Mercedes HAS Voided SEVERAL cars with software mods as the ME Control unit is sealed and if tampered with the car can get the dreaded code 8 =No More warranty.

I'm glad I didn't do any software mod on my Clk. It was hell for me when my CL 55 w'HPS supercharged were "black listed" with "code 8". DON'T DO IT !!!

Damm im glad to hear this input really changed my mind on doing anything, deffinitly not worth getting blacklisted!

I wouldn't worry so much about being "Black Listed"... your wallet just becomes your new warranty provider.
