06 Navi/ AC control unit work on a 2003 clk 55amg

Hi I have a 03 clk amg 55 it had navigation. but someone broke into the car and stold everything cut / ripped the wires. ****ed up the dash a bit. So i bought a brand new one straight from a 06 clk 55 amg it has the newer navigation/ ac controls/ heater controls with all the harnesses would everything be fine let me know

it fits perfect in the dash I would just need to have everything intalled.

On a Early 209 CLK The LATE 209 NavComand will NOT Work... different systems...Early Cars have a CD based system..Late Cars have a DVD based system Canbus vs Most..

One would have to rebuild the entire car with late components to make it work

so if we tried putting a 05 clk nav/command onto a 04 it wont work, correct? because as far as i remember 03 and 04 clks were same and 05 and up were same, right?

that is correct it won't work. the 05 and up models use the DVD based command system. 04 and earlier use the CD based system.

Ok I don't get it . won't it at least install and powerup and have full radio controls? it would be like installing an aftermarket indash except its a mercedes stock dash.

Different electronics on these cars!
Newer w209/w203 are on a MOST ring, older vehicles (prefacelift) have D2B!
