carwash for cariolets members
Hi
My sister who lives in another city has bought a CLk350 convertible and she was told by the salesman not to use automatic carwashes no matter which type sue to the fabric roof. I am a bit surprised by this and asked salesman at my local dealer who simply said - no problem whatsoever. Could members with cabriolets advise, in your experience, with regard to using touchless (water jets) carwash; carwash using brushes/softclothes. Thank you very much. 2dino |

I only use the brushes/soft clothes one on my cab and it's great.
The touchless ones blow water in between the front window and rear window (since there's no B pillar and the seam is not strong). |

I have 2 cabs and do not use any automated washes...touchless uses too much force (basically sandblasting small particles at your car). And the ones with brushes mechanically grind dirt into the paint. I wash my own cars ...use RaggTopp products for the roof and Zaino for the paint...
