On a CLK350 i average around 20.5 mpg in mixed city and highway driving. The best I have gotten is 23 mpg and that was highway only; it likely would have been better if I drove more slowly: cruise control set at 80 mph does not help.

If you are looking at the newer models CLK350, the MPG is the same as an 03 500, due to the HP increase (18 city / 23 hwy). The new 550 models are 15 city / 21 hwy.

Fill-Up

Both V8s & V6s have 15 gallon tanks... therefore it will still cost the same to fill up. Both use PREMIUM GAS (91 92 93 94 Octane, depending on where you live).

Okay... each model year should be the same size tank. So instead of asking V6 or V8, I guess year will make a difference too.

Black Series is in its own class!
