'06 CLK Windshield washer

Hi Everyone,

Newbie here again just trying to get a few things sorted out on my purchase of '06 CLK. I will check with dealer on warranty and I have bought extended warranty with "enhanced electrical" coverage. But car has 57k on it and I think factory warranty might be done.

Anyway it has the Xenon lights and the windshield washer does not work. no messages. The fuse diagram says "electronic" "see dealer" Is this a self resetting relay or something? How hard is it to get that washer tank out? And is the pump at the bottom of the tank or remote somewhere else?

Thanks!

Bumping this back up.

Anyone know how to diagnose this or where or what the "electronic" fuse is?

Thanks,

I am having an issue with my rear foglights and fuse diagram too says electronic?? Im guessing its a relay if so does say where, or maybe its a mercedes Continuum Transfunctioner that only the dealer can fix. can someone shed some light on what the heck "electronic" means in the fuse diagram

I think that means it is controlled via 'module' and not traditionally fused.

You state 'the rear foglights'.... Be advised that there is only ONE rear foglight, and it's on the driver's side.

The wash reservoir is located behind the left hand fender. No need to remove front wheel, but the front inner fender liner has to come off. The reservoir has two pumps inside, one for headlamp washer (M5/2) if fitted, and one for the windscreen washer (M5/1).

Control is via front SAM control unit & relay unit N10/1, located up near the bulkhead, which also controls all exterior lights. wipers, a/c compressor, etc.

If you hear no motor noise when you operate the switch, most likely either the motor has failed or the combination switch is faulty. It's unlikely to be the module.
