new owner of a clk550

Hi everyone, just thought id drop in and say hi. I just baught a new 2009 clk550. black with tan interior. I was hoping everyone could tell me what to expect. or any small modfications that i can do. i do have some questions for all of u guys. 1st. the dealer said 0 60 5.2secs. but it seems faster and far under 5 seconds more like 4.5 or 6... also the car came pre wired with dealer option hands free communication.. i guess that means its wired for bluetooth just no puck.. does anyone know where i can get a puck? thanx everyone in advance

Congrats and welcome aboard. Here is a few things you can do,

1) change out your reflector(side marker) to clear one.
2) Slam it either with Eibach or H&R
3) Get rid of your stock filters and replaced with the K&N (1hp maybe ?) lol.
4) Buy yourself a set of rims...a 19" will be perfect for our CLK.
5) maybe a cf front lip ?

welcome & good luck with your new purchase.as far as MB performance #'s go.they are usually about 4-5 tenths higher.my guess is that ur about 4.7 sec. not many mods out there for our cars. get air filters and a tune. and if you don't mind noise, an exhaust.

i should mention the car came fully loaded. with the sport package as well.
it has amg exhuast. and amg bumpers
a few things it doesnt have is parktronic-anyone know how much that is?
no rearview camera-worth it?
no keyless go

i think the exhaust sound nice...but i do want a growl

hey did u noticed that on there website.. the hp/torque specs do not match that of the cars... idk seems kinda shady.. not accurate.. and kinda unbelievable the tuning results are on there website.

the main reason i did my tune was to get rid of the Bulls**T 130MPH limiter on my car.but i did notice better throttle response and a slight increase in power rite away.now how much HP that is, i can't tell you. but it was definitely worth the $300.meanwhile powerchip charges almost $1000 for the same tune.

exact feeling that I had when I got the car ECU back (from CLK320). Im about to send my ECU (CLK500) to Oliver again...just waiting to complete the exhaust and some high flow cats first.Of course with K&N filtters too.

has anyone ever changed the bulbs of the fog lights to something more blue?
and recommendation to any particular color..i want something that will look really cool

or even the beam light colors

YOu can...either get the HID kit or the simple way is to buy one of those blue bulbs (white when you turn it on). Do you know what kind of your fog light bulbs ? ALL CLK 500 have the 9006 not sure the CLK 550.

No Keyless Go, Parktronic, or rearview camera is not fully loaded.
All three can be retrofitted, but it would be quite costly. I think parktronic and keyless go are definitely worth having, but not if they didn't already come with the car. I don't find the rearview camera too needed in the CLK.

Anyways, congrats on the CLK, I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

Why don't you just get a real HID foglight kit for $60 shipped instead of those cheap looking look alike HID light. I installed on mine and love it !! here's the link.....
