Here's one I found on ebay:

Anyone have any insight on this?

I have emailed the seller asking for service records, but haven't heard back yet. Carfax shows it being "serviced" every 3,000 - 9,000 miles, but not consistant, nor does it say the specific service completed. It was listed this past week and the bidding did not meet the reserve. He has now lowered the "buy it now" price to $28,600. I have asked for pictures, so we'll see what comes back. I did happen to save the original listing so I have a few photos available, but you cannot see much.

Anyone live near there?

I live on Miami Beach, have a 2002 AMG CLK and just had the 50k service done.

If you give me contact tel.# and the precise address where the car of your interest can be seen, inspected, I'll be glad to check it out and give you my opinion/feedback.

I have run the carfax and had the dealer send me the VMI showing all service work. There is no remaining warranty, so I agree, proceed with caution. I also sent you an email.

Follow the stuff I posted in the other thread, and you should be OK...look out for wrecked, flooded, odometer rollback, etc...at this price, I'd want to use not only the stethoscope, but an x-ray machine as well! :-)

1. Florida title number and VIN on title?
2. Registered owner and address on title?
3. Is title free and clear; any liens against the vehicle?
4. Who is owner insured with?
5. What is the insurance policy number?
6. Insurance agent's tel. number?

Remember: If it is too good to be true, - IT IS!

Brian - this is the third e-mail - in case it did not get through:

If the owner states that he has Florida title and insurance, ask him to fax you the two documents:

Florida title and the 2001 CLK AMG insurance policy title page, which also has the VIN#, owner and address.

Then, scan the Insurance Title Page and send to me as an e-mail attachment.

I am NOT driving an uninsured car.

I know this isn't the proper forum, but if you haven't transacted, I am probably selling my W208 CLK55. It is still under 10,ooo miles as it isn't my daily driver. Details are in my signature. I am on a waiting list for an Aston Martin v8 vantage that isn't due til december but I would be willing to part with it since I have another vehicle. Let me know!

No, it is sitting in my office parking lot as I type...waiting for me to drive it. New Michelin PS2's and all! Later it will get 2 more coats of Zaino's, 4 total!
