smashed up clk55

smashed up clk55 from benzworld, kid said his sister hit a median on I-95 then did a 180 and then an Oil rig started to run over the car, but then realized he was crushing her car and stopped. he also said she walked away with just some scratches and bruises.

Now I know why I will always prefer Mercedes Benz to any other vehicle out there on the road. Amazing how the passenger compartment stayed in one piece. This is truly amazing. Glad to hear that she was ok.

Looks like the motor and tranny are still intact, where is this car located? I want to swap this motor in my car.

looks like the airbags are still intact. The insurance company will most likely try to put it back together.

They shouldn't, meaning the owners should just trash it. WIth that much damage, I wouldn't feel safe driving it after major major overhauling work is done to it...

It's an expensive car, and since the engine and drivetrain look to be fine, they probably won't total it. I saw a brand new 325i Convertible in the body shop waiting for a new engine. The car had something like 1000 miles on it, and the entire front end needed to be replaced. Of course it was cheaper to replace the engine, and suspension than the whole car, so that's what the insurance company did. It's unfortunate side effect of driving an expensive car and having a greedy insurance company.
