Attn: What's the true hp from Kleemann S/C?

Ok.. I did gain quite a lot from headers and downpipe. It's given. I have been researching the result with Kleemann S/C and i found a dyno number info about kit on old CLK55. Unlike what MBAutowerks states, such as 411 at the wheel, it showed 345whp and 360whp.

Here is the link: http://www.jimmy540i.com/clk55sprewell.htm

Seems like a very reliable information source. what do you guys think?

If I remember correctly....

There was a problem with the CLK when it was tested. Full power couldn't be measured at the time.

**edit**

I found the link.....

fyi, kleemann was asked to leave south korea by the s. korean govt because their kits were not making the power advertised. a false advertising grievance was pending.

Here are dyno results from my car - mods are listed in my signature. Rear Wheel HP = 380, Real Wheel Torque = 336. One big long flat torque curve. And my car isn't even a 55, its a 430.

If you read through the 540 owner's "comparison" and agree with his power loss ratios - then do the math using the above numbers. If you beleive in a 20% power loss between the crank and the rear wheels then 380 rear wheel = 475 at my crank.

The numbers don't lie - bring on the Koreans and their rice burners - I have a thermonuclear surprise for them under my right foot.

JLee - I wasn't trying to offend anyone man - sorry if it came off that way. I'm sold on the Kleemann system though - whether by the numbers or the seat of my pants feel, the 430 motor with the Kleemann S/C is a brute.

I'm kinda puzzled about that as well. That's less tq than my C55 unless this is just the character of the 4.3L.

That is torque measure at the rear wheel after drivetrain loss. It is probably > 400 at the crank which is more than the C55 (376). However, the Kleeman system doesn't seem to improve torque as much as hp.

I'm definitely sold too and i've got a 55 motor! Only problem now is traction... :p But that'll be taken care of soon.

You need to seriously consider fact checking posts like this before you post them. No such event has happened anywhere in the world and there are no "false advertising grievance" pending.
