First owner worldwide of facelift CLK55AMG

Hello USA,

I will take delivery of my new baby CLK55 with new amg package at end of june in Sindelfingen.
I can proudly say that worldwide I will be the first one to own one.
Of course pictures will follow.
New goodies are now standard mp3 player in combination with cd-changer.
Tv- tuner with analog and digital transceiver. Also Command APS DVD Navigation in combination with tv.tune can now play DVD movies!! Yes that
is true.

I have fully loaded the car expect keyless go and distronic.
keyless go is not a go because of freuent malfunction and
distronic because I am driving an amg55clk and not a grandfather auto.

But i also wanted to say I never had a problem with my keyless go (knock on wood) and love the option!

Isn't the new look just a smaller grill with three chrome strips instead of four?

Yah that and it has round fog lights instead of oval ones.. and the backlights are a little different. Other than that it looks pretty much the same

Yeh, thanks for those pics. I had no idea the grill and fog lights were new for the '06CLK.

What's the difference between the current Bumper and the 06 one? I'm probably gonna facelift my car when the new parts are available and I figured I'd only have to change the Front Grille (3 Bars instead of 4), Fog Lamps (Circular w/ Chrome trim) and Mesh Bumper Inserts around the Fog Lamps... and the Tail Lights as well. If I'm gonna have to change the entire front bumper it may not be worth it.
