Anyone put on 19's?

Just curious to see some pictures and comments on the ride, any rubbing issues and the offests they used. There have been some good deals on rims lately and I may grab a pair. Preferrably 18's, but 19's seem to be everywhere, and maybe there is a reason why! Too harsh? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

I have 19's on my 430 w/ the H&R cup kit and the ride isnt that bad. No rubbing issues unless I have 5 heavy people in my car. Heres a couple pics:

ummm seems lik eI cant upload pics twice so your going to have to go to the W208 forum to see pics.

When I say heavy people I mean 175lbs and over. I've fit 4 200lb guys and a 110lb girl in my car before and had no problem w/ rubbing

the ride really isn't that much harsher than the stock 17s. i can barely notice it myself. I got 1 inch wider wheels all around and i do have a rubbing issue on the rear tires theyre 265/30/19 but thats because the spacers i put on there are too big. the only thing you really have to worry about is bent rims.

Thanks for the replies! Four 200lb'ers and one 110lb'er should pretty well take care of any issues for rubbing I might have.

Thanks again!

If everyone who says they're coming comes then we will be 15 deep (including 4 modded W211 E55's ). We will be coming up there friday night. I guess we should arrange something soon (time/meeting place) if you are going to meet up with us. We dont have concrete plans as of yet, its very hard to coordinate with 15 people!

I just installed a new set of 19's, H&R spring kit and am having a full KMAC kit installed for the alignment. I will follow up with a full report after everything is installed, probly a week.

I have 245/35 19s on 8.5" rims in the front and they do rub on 3/4 of a full turn and on typical bumps at 30mph+, but the 285/30 19s on 10.5" rims on the rear do not rub. In case you are wondering how wide you can go without the tires sticking out the sides from a radical offset this is it. If you go 9" on the front of a CLK the tire rubs the bolt that mounts the strut and locks it and any wider on the rear they rub also.

Thank you sir this is what I have been trying to find out. Does going wider in the front aid handling or did you do it just to do it?

Do you have any pics? I would love to see how this looks! Do you have a lowered suspension or is it stock?

I have dunlop 9000s on it and the handling is much improved and with the 285s in the rear it launches much harder(no track slips yet). It is stock height. The rims are AVUS AF-901's, chrome lip and gunmetal centers. How can you post pics on here? Do you put them in your profile. I will check it tonight and put them on this thread or email them to ya, k.

I only rub with 4 or 5 heavy people while taking hard turns or going up a hill in reverse.
