Car wont go over 2000 RPM when stepping on it...
Hi, I got rear-ended a month ago and finally got my 2004 CLK 55 Convertable back. However, it doesn't perform even as close as before. It does 0 to 100 in a measly 10 seconds (when it used to do in 5 sec). It just doesnt want to cross 2000 RPM even when I step on it. Whats even worse is when I'm trying to speed up from about 60 to 100... it takes like 10 seconds just for that. I tried M, S and C modes and same thing.


Anyone know what the problem might be? I got an appointment at Mercedes in 3 days but I want to know before then.

It definately sounds like your shift codes. They should be able to fix that easily.
