Fuel mileage pretty good

Today I was driving on a back country road to a remote town. I maintained a speed around 58-60mph. There were a couple of intersection stops, but I was able to pretty much maintain a constant speed for about 50 miles when I noticed the fuel mileage. It was at a suprising 24.7 mpg. That's the highest I have ever seen on this or my last AMG. I had the air conditioning on and the outside temp was in the low 80's. High test is still around $3.00 a gallon around Florida so it is sure nice to mitigate the gas cost (somewhat) with some impressive mileage figures. It is not so much the money issue, but the thought of sending so many billions of our dollars overseas, inflating consumer prices, impacting American life styles, and further enriching the already filthy rich that bugs me. What MPG figures are others getting under ideal conditions????

over 48000 miles i managed 13.8 mpg..horrible
