Projector Headlight retrofit... How ?

I saw a CLK55 parked in the mall and I noticed that his headlight were projectors although the headlight hoising looks stock. I read somewhere before especially on the E55 section that they do a projector retrofit... How do you do this ? Does anybody have a DIY ? Please advise.

Thanks,
J.

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ is a good place for questions.

The materials needed for this type of retrofitting is the entire Xenon projector kit (bulbs, ballast, wiring, XENON projector...) and the housing of course. a little experience wouldn't hurt in the process. I don't know too much about the retrofitting process but it is involved. You can retrofit almost any projector into any housing as long as everything fits and you can adjust it properly. I hope this is a start.

You can do a retrofit yourself using some nice Lexus projectors (help was offered on the W210 forums, do a search); or you can just buy a set of Bi-Xenons from Steve or any other source that you can find.

make sure when u buy the xenon bulbs there the "D2S" bulbs for the projectors, not the "D2R" bulbs which are made for the reflective housing
