Heated Front Seats...

Hi,

Have 2 questions: ('03 CLK55)
1. Right side Heated seat does not work (no reaction on pushing the button, But left one works) - should I check any fuses before I go to dealer?

2. The one that works gets warm after about 10-15 minutes, and it is not as hot as, I think, it should be (compare to other cars) - is it normal on this cars, or I should mention it to dealer?

Thanks!!

Must still be under warranty, right? Get it fixed ASAP! Mine get hot....real hot. After a while I have to turn them off because its too hot and I start to sweat........ But that might be just my sensitive behind.
They do take a couple minutes to warm up, especially on very cold mornings.....but not 10 to 15 minutes. Thats not right....and don't let them tell you otherwise.

Yes check the fuse before you goto dealer. I remember same thing happening on my CLk320 but it was for the windows. Car has a left and a right fuse of different electronic stuff.

Also my heated seats can very warm, much sooner than 15 mins.

Thank you, guys!

Yes, it is under the warranty. I am going in for the oil change soon, so will tell them to check it at the same time.

Thanks!

Is the fuse box located under the hood on driver's side?

Hmmmm
I never have looked for the fuse box before. Do you have the owners manual? It must be in there somewhere.
Good luck.....

but if you are bringing it in, then why bother to look for the fuses. just let the dealership worry about it.

I have the manual, but unfortunately, they don't show the diagram there.

I always try to get done these kind of staff myself since it is very difficult to find a good mechanic/technician at MB dealer in this area. Also I like to work on my cars myself. It is fun, and I know that everything is done properly without “cutting corners”. Plus my car does not leave my sight.

Does anybody know how difficult it is to remove that switch for heated seats? It could be the switch itself…
