Makes me wonder whats wrong with it... In CA that car would be $30K.
I got mine 2 weeks ago for $34K (2002 w/ 33K miles) Same interior but mine is Capri Blue

It DOES look like an Accord (rear) mated with an IS (front) and if so then it's gone form a strong "muscle-looking" car of the 208's into the SOS everyone else is selling. IMHO the wrong direction

How reliable are the CLK55's?
If you buy it cheep and it breaks you will be in for a $500 plus expensive every time. Do you have the cash or credit to cover that? Do you want to go into debt? Consumer reports say that MB is the most unreliable car period! I would LOVE to pick up an 01 55 but I just don't want the sucker to break on me. Comments? |

To be honest....a mercedes is jus thr same as any other car. if you take care of it, it takes care of you. if you treat it like a beater, it will act like a beater.
I own a 1996 volvo 850, and it sucks....only because i never service it ontime (or ever) and dont really keep it up to par like i should. Yet on the other hand, i did own a 2002 lexus es300....biggest mistake in my life...it kept going back to the dealer every week and each time it came back the rotors of the car would get bigger, and bigger, and bigger... and before the dealershio totalled it, they told me if they have to change the rotors and calipers to a larger size again, they have to replace my wheels with larger ones...i wa slike..oh joy, ill have semi truck brakes on my car. every mercedes ive owned treated me nice..no breaking down on me, or little electrical quirks. my CLK55 never ever had a problem, the only problem i did have was the rear sunshade, it broke, but theni fixed it 2 years ago and i havent had a problem since...... moral of the story? treat it well, and get your preventative maintanence done and it will serve you well. Its not that bad..i take my 55 in for servicing and checkups every 6-7 months and i fork over 300ish bucks, for oil changes, lube, and/or servicing. |
