What do you guys think about eisenmann exhaust

I'm considering buying a http://www.eisenhaus.com/ehprice.php...=40&Submit.y=9 what do you guys think? decent price for what you get? how's the sound of the exhaust, i only heard clips but any personal experiances? any help would be useful

Hi there,

I just bought one and got it installed two days back. I like the sound it makes, plus it looks ten times better than the stock one (though I am comparing it to the single pipe exhaust that CLK500 comes with, CLK55 may be different).

I could've sworn that you said in another thread that you have a CLK320. I could be mistaken though but if that is the case you will love it. My best friend has it on his SLK320 and the sound is amazing. He was worried the Race level might be too loud but it is perfect. Even if you do have a 55 I'm sure the sound will only get better.

Eisenmann makes the OEM exhaust for Porsche and SLR. Also they offer two Performance levels-

1. Sport Performance (Just a little bit louder than stock)
2. Racing Performance (Deep and throaty)

Well, a V8 sound on 500 clip does sound too American... I'm sure it sounds different on E46s

Clip does not tell the whole story, but it does say a lot. I personally think the sound is very nice, but not meant for MB. Why would you want an american muscle car sound out of you European import? Now if I can only find something that sounds like my AMG exhaust, but only louder...

A mustang? I would never imagine MB exhaust sound as horrible as a mustang. No offense to the American Muscle crowd. I just don't like how mustangs sound.

It sounds great with the 3.2L V6. I haven't heard it on a V8 so I won't join that argument but I will say you'll love it on your car. Definitely do it.

Can't say anything on its performance but on looks alone I think its way over sized for the body of this particular W208 model. Looks huge!

As for the sound, it reminds me of a suped-up pick-up truck with big pipes sticking out of the back.

Get Kleemann headers instead...hehehe.

Sure!I'll certainly try.But I'll asure you it's very loud and sounds very Mustangish especially on acceleration.Too some that's not necesaarily a bad thing.
