Exhaust ?

Saw CLK55 coupe at the dealer and the car has dual exhaust - i.e. 2 mufflers and looked great - my new CLK55 Cab has one and looks a bit Sebring like - can I mod mine (without crazy headaches) to give the look of the coupe?

Thanks

You would need a custom exhaust setup from what I understand. Coupe and verts have different piping due to trunk space difference. So on your vert coupe's pipes won't work.

I figured I would need the 2nd muffler and the different piping under the car, but I was not sure if this was a bolt on - of if there was some more serious differences between the coupe and the vert. Also the rear appron would need to be modified - not sure how that would work either -

From what I have read the answer is not very easy. The convert. has a very diff under body due to the top mechanism and chasis structure.

Thanks - the car looks great like that. I need to take a look under the car when it arrives and see what can be done. I may take a ride to te MB dealership and see what they have on the parts system - maybe they can tell me if I can just order up some stock MB parts to get the quad look from the coupe.

The answer will be no...They do not sell the AMG tips alone. You have to buy the exhaust system. (the ebay sale of tips is a good deal). The bumper must be modified by someone who knows what they are doing. The actual attachment of the tips was the easy part. Hope that helps.
