New DTM

Here's some scoop on the new CLK DTM, looks astoundingly good, I guess it's based from the F1 pace car, looks like another success!

I love the rear! The wheels aren't great, but you can easily fix that.

I'm sure being a car built for having the "track oriented" customer in mind, the production wheels will be three-piece, or at least very light weight, not the standard CLS55 19 inchers, I am in love with the car now that it has only functional outlets and a spoiler that helps the muscular look of the car.

It also looks as though they're going about making up for the loss of the larger rear wing through the use of areodynamic underbody work.

Holy crap that's a sexy car. Just when I thought the CLK63 AMG looked good already, they made the DTM even more aggressive...........

It looks very nice but is that something that'll be available in the US or Euro only?

very nice

this bit is interesting.

"Expect about the same horsepower as the first generation with the new 6.3 litre V8 delivering between 580 and 600 hp. AMG Chief, Volker Mornhinweg said in an recent interview that they might give the new 6.3 liter engine turbo and the new CGI fuel injection technology, thus a perfect engine for the AMG CLK DTM"

Am I now the only one who think it looks not nearly half as good as the current one? :s

- Wheels are ugly
- the rear widebody is just a bulge, too round and doesn't have air intakes
- that air outlet on the front fender next to the wheel doesn't look to good either
- whats that plastic thingy that hangs on to the rear diffusor?

and most of all,

What the hell of a girly rear wing that is

05 CLK DTM all the way!

I'm in line with Schiz. Lots of F1 Safety Car influence in this one - which sure ain't bad in my book.

There is a yellow mustang (2000 model) that parks in Burlington Mall, MA that has some sort of a aero kit installed which looks as ugly as they can get.

This car reminds me that. It looks like lines dont belong to that car almost looks like a ricer

IMHO it is damn ugly. Now I am sure it is very fun to drive and I would take it if they allowed me to swap with my 05 :-)

Guys, we'll just have to see, you can never form a certain opinion unitl the production version is ready, this is more than likely just a mule, but a good idea of the future car, but I'm sure they won't let the customers down that will be paying over 200K for the car. Do notice that there aren't any non-functional add ons as there were on the first one.

The front looks great. From a side shot, it looks incredible. 600 NA HP awaiting turbocharging, now we are talking! The only negative I see is the rear diffuser. It looks too

Looks like it might not be the DTM, instead it'd 'just' be a CLK63 "Black Edition"

I love its looks! This way, it can go head to head with the M3 and RS4 in terms of how beefy the fenders are!

Check out the pictures again.

I believe this is most likely a Black Edition.

Interestingly, the images show two different cars.
Look over the rear tail-lamps.

For some reason, this car has the old tail lights, not the updated '06+ ones. Also, if you look at the front bumper, the bumper and AMG air dam don't look as pointed as the new AMG bumpers.

This is not a new DTM. It is CLK63 Black Edition.
