Designo CLK55 W208 Model 2000

Hi All, Great Forum I'm new here and learning alot from you Just a question i'd like to throw out to you, how much is a CLK55 model 2000 (one of the first ever made) with full designo exterior and interior, COMAND, and all the extras, and ONLY 6,000miles!!! This car is nearly 7 years old and in showroom condition, it was recently in a small accident and is nearly out of the garage (the passenger door, right fender and right pillar damaged - all replaced at the agent with new parts). How much is this car worth? Note: I saw the bargain on e-bay for the 2003 CLK55 that was sold for nearly $21,000 (yeah I know it had 120,000miles on it, but still a bargain). Any thoughts?

Posting a picture would help. Full designo AMG cars are rare. Is the word 'designo' embossed on the seat leather? Is there real stitched leather on the dashboard and center console? To be a desingo car on the exterior it has to have a special paint color. Do you know the color?

What's it worth? Probably not much in relation to its original price. Low miles are nice, but make sure everything works, things like power seats and the pixels on the dash. And any car that's been in an accident is going to take a something of a hit in value, particulalry if the paint no longer matches well. Be sure to look at the car in different lights and different angles to be sure.

Be sure to verify your year. CLK55 was only built 2001-2002. When you say 2000 are you refering to the year it was built. If it is and early 2001 it would have been built late 2000.

Not if this in Europe. "Replaced at the agent" doesn't sound like US usage.

'Designo' is NOT embossed on the seat leather, but I am sure the colour is a 'Designo' colour. YES the dashboard and center console both have stitched leather, and the exterior paint is a special dark maroon (not the standard maroon that was available).

This was built in late 1999 and was on the road by March 2000. I think CLK55 was available in the USA in 2001 - 2002.

This is in Kuwait not USA or Europe, and was custom ordered. In our country we have one Mercedes-Benz "Agent".

Since it is a model 2000 CLK55 I think there was only 250 CLK55's ever made that year for selected countries and individuals.

The car i'm talking about is the same colour but the one in the picture is Ahmed's CLK320 with the CLK55 look...

Sadly the owner didn't accept $21K, he was expecting to sell for at least $35K.

Hopefully he'll realize that there is nobody in the market today that would buy a W208 CLK55 at that price!

Yeah, the V12s are dropping even faster. But that's because the're so heavy.

It looks like you went too low on the price. 35K is rich, but if the paint is good, everything runs and if most of the designo bits are really there -- look for carpet mats with leather trim and exotic wood -- the car is rare. And rarity always gets a good price if the seller can find an appreciative buyer.

i almost pulled the trigger on a 03 S600 designo graphite this sumemr, but chose to go with w210 e55 like Ted said a long time ago, out of love
