I have had my V1 since '03 with no upgrades or re-tunes and it has been fabulous. I have noticed a slight change in sensitivity over the years and have been contimplating the breif trip to see Mike for a tune up anyway. The upgrade will only be a bonus in my mind.
I say go for it. Besides, for $75 you also get the 1 year warranty as if it were new. Just my two cents...
