I need advice on Suspension for W209 CLK55

Hi Everyone,

I am about to buy a 2003 CLK55.

however, I don;t like the height of the car..

I need to find a good lowering springs (H&R)

or Coilover (Pss9 vs KW v2)

anyone has good recomandation?

or would it be too harsh if I just replace springs?

thank you

How many miles on the car? I bought my clk with low miles so i only replaced the springs with H&R. If you have extra funds go with PSS9 coilovers. I'll be getting those later on when my shocks start to go.Big difference in look and performance when car is lowered. Good luck.

I was going to go with the PSS9 coilovers, but I put the rims on before I ordered the coilovers, and I hated the gap it created... the shop that was installing the rims on my car just happened to have a set of H&R springs for a W209 CLK55, and I bought and put them on immediatley. I think the springs are great, and will do for me. I'm glad I didn't spend the money on the coilovers. The car looks MUCH more agressive now (compared to stock), and it handles better as well. For some people the ride might be a little too rough, but for me its perfect. You can click on the link in my sig to see pictures of how my car looks with the H&R springs.
