what rims are you looking into?
i think silver on black would look sick with the tint and maybe some smoked tails

Any silver clk that has a black wheel would be nice just to get the idea of what it looks like.

Thumbs up My W208 with black rims

This is my 2001 CLK55 on 18" Brabus Monoblock VI replica wheels. The car came with the wheels on it and when I was looking at the pictures of it before I saw it in person, I wasn't sure if I was going to like them over the factory wheels. A few weeks later, I think the black really sets it off and the car gets a lot of attention and compliments. The left front/rear wheels have minor dents on the inner area and I was looking to get them repaired but Kwicksilver wants about $85 for each and I'm not sure it's worth it. A tech across the street suggested that I try to do it myself with a hydraulic tool from Harbor Freight Tools. The vibration is very subtle although I can still imagine that it's wearing out my steering components and driver's side mirror. I think the car still could use H&R springs and I'm fighting with myself over whether or not I should smoke the taillights, I'm wondering how much it would cost me just to see if I like them on my car or not I think the AMG plate and license frame match the wheels pretty well. I also have the 17" factory wheels with some heavy duty rash and was contemplating swapping them with LAwheel for a chromed set but shipping to Charlotte is gonna cost $180 on top of the $500 for the swap Maybe I'll stick with what I've got for now but new tires are calling soon. And since I'm already I should be posting some pics of my grill #5 before and after blacking out the center pillar as soon as I find some blackout tape. Any idea if Pep Boys might carry it? Anyhow, I hope these pics help you decide. flame on

Hey, I know this is not exactly what you asked for but I thought it could help the cause and at least give you an idea. These aren't my cars, I am not sure who they belong too either. They were just some pics that I had on my laptop that I got from somewhere.

I was contemplating the same thing, if I should go black rims or not. Good luck with the decision. Please post pics if you do go with the black rims.
