Damaged the Front bumper and need help

Ok took out a small tree, a curb and 3 rims, front bumper and other little odds and ends under the car I am sure. What I need now is a new front bumper. So I am going to go with the Lorinser DTM front bumper/spoiler. Where would be a good place to buy from? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

well technically it was stupidity. Going a wee fast with another car and came to a corner (long sweeper) and hit a small bump/manhole cover, pitched the back end enough to break loose. Did some high speed rear end swap, but by the time I had in controll I was pointed 30ish degrees towards the curb. Passengers front took a direct hit and totally took it out. Rear bent did not blow and the inside back driver slapped against the curb. As I was up on the curb I hit almost dead star a 3" tree snapped off bumper height. Tree landed in the back seat. Funny thing is I am an arborist and never have use a car to trim or remove a tree in the past and would not recommend it! Body damage was limited to a damaged bumper small dent in hood under star and 3 rims toast. I am taking it into an alignment shop to check under. I will get some pictures up later. Anyone got a bumper? lol my first thought well not first was well now I have a reason to get that Lorinser.

Hey, I saw your car at Tru-Line today. Sorry about that front bumper. Let me know where you get your new one and how much it costs. I've been considering getting a new one for a while (maybe a Brabus one) but I have a number of gadgets attached to my current front bumper (radar/laser jammer pods) and I want to see if it's worthwhile to make the swap. Nothing wrong with my current bumper except that a couple of the crossmembers are broken (whose isn't) but the middle piece is still in there.

So what were you doing down there too? Yeah I figure I would take it to the best, man is he good. Anyway I am having him do the repairs under, put on the H&R springs, Kmac front and rear too. The bumper is going to be Lorinser from CarNutz and I think BelRed auto rebuild will do the fit and painting.

He did an alignment on my car 4000 miles ago and I was going in to make sure the tires were wearing properly.

I had an alignment shop done by another place last year and even though they told me that the "pulling" of the car was normal I had my doubts (a couple of other places told me that a little tramlining was normal too). A year after I had that alignment done the outside edges of my front tires were completely bald. I think Byron told me they pointed the front tires inward too much (snowplowing effect).

Yeah the guy really knows his stuff, very detailed. I am very happy I took it there. So were you just getting a follow up on the alignment? Did he charge for that.

Follow up alignment. No charge. Takes him 2 minutes.

Maybe I'll see you there next time.

So did you pass muster? Yeah we will have to hook up sometime and compare stories. What city is your practice in?

Yeah, my tires were wearing well after 4k miles.
I'm an associate for a practice up in Smokey Point (37 miles one way hence the laser jammer). .......................................

I put one on my hybrid and was getting ready to put one on the 55 before I trimmed that tree with my bumper. What on did you use? I have the M20 for both. Chaps me though before I bought them I was getting
zapped all the time, since then I have not seen a single radar gun to see if it works.

M20 as well. I just had it installed and have not seen it in action yet. Maybe I'll put one on the A4 if it proves itself useful on the CLK. $399 installed was what I got quoted originally but the day I went in there to have it installed another guy (the owner) told me it would be $550 installed b/c they had to pull my front bumper. I agreed. It took them 5 hours to put in though b/c I have a few other aftermarket goodies in that bumper. The A4 is a lease though so I'm wondering how hard it is to transfer to another car down the road.

I did mine myself, bought the unit out of PDX for 289 and think it took about an hour or so. But I did a fairly custom install for the light and switch so it looks good. I was holding off on the benz waiting to figure out how to go through the firewall and I did get a response on here that gave me a good local, but I have had issues since then.
