hello folks
i'm thinking of buing 2001 clk 55 amg and wanted to ask: is there a big diference in spare part price's in amg and usual merc's in case the car has some dificulties with its life?

and how are those amg in long life?(do they have any problems often or not?

AMG specific replacement parts are expensive. Brake pads and rotors are a good example...they cost between 2-3 times the normal W208 parts.

The engine and transmission is very stout on the W208/55s. If the car has been well maintained, it should provide years of pleasure. There are several owners on this forum with 75K+ miles on their cars.

Typically, the issues associated with the cars are common to all W208 CLKs, not just AMG. Good luck in your decision.

ok let me put it that way: clk430 or clk55 amg?in the matter of expences and pleasure?!?!?!? which one?

You probably will not find too many people here opting for the non-AMG.
