I don't have an answer to your question but am very interested in the project. What does it sound like? What is prompting you to do this? How difficult is it, etc...? This is something I may do to my car(clk55) if the results are good. I see several people have done this to there c32's with positive results.

with an already throaty exhaust, it might be too much...example: eisenmann race exhaust with no resonator = Z71 SilveradoHD with 70 series flowmasters......without a loud exhaust like Eisenmann however, it should sound great, deep and throaty.

I wouldn't bother with it... the resonator is straight through as it is.... I would work on your rear set of cats before I would do that. Take your rear exhaust section off and take a look.
