Wonder why they allow punky kids to get on The Ring and write stuff in chaulk on it. You can see it here and there on the video smack dab in the middle of the track surface. Would think at those speeds, it would have to effect the cars even if very slightly on corners.

Must be a Germany thing.

Great, clear video but I thought the Gallardo finished first after that crawler held up the Merc?

Anyhow, DTM looked very fast. Would liked to have seen the BS against the Gallardo. Would be close.

Did you see the DTM pull on the Lambo?

You could tell that the DTM driver was being much more cautious around traffic. Any time the Lambo caught up it was because the DTM was pacing for upcoming traffic.

Looked like two really good drivers but the DTM was no match for the Lambo.

A common Ring Rumour is that each piece represents someone killed at that spot. That is the case with some of it - the photo left showing one example (for Joerund Seim) - but is not the case with most of it.

The rest of it ranges from 'good luck' messages to people competing in races to people promoting their website or car-club.

Anyone painting graffiti on the track needs to be careful to do it well off the line as paint can be slippery when wet. The above example is in a narrow strip on the opposite side of the track to the line.

Is it just me, or does it look like the spoiler on the back of the MB (in the picture below) would smack and crack the back glass if you opened the trunk lid?

Maybe you didn't see the end of the video or maybe you didn't realize as it ended they were on the long straight where I'm sure the DTM took it. As Jim stated, the DTM won...and it won with straightline speed. Just as the BS would...although many inside have said the BS turns a quicker lap. Manhattan cabbie times....LOL

They should have shown the whole video. I'm dissappointed about that then. I would have loved to have seen if the DTM actually finished off that Lambo.

This video gives you a good feeling how fast a sub 8:00 is at the Nordschleif.

BTW, the CLK DTM passed the Gallardo in the full length version that was posted sometime ago.

It would be interesting to see the Black verses the CLK DTM. The Blacks have the suspension edge and the DTM's torque and more tire. Proly in the end a drivers race.
