They probably gave you the wrng dipstick. And what do u mean a light amber color on the dipstick? As long as the oil is not a light amber color when you wipe the tranny fluid off the dipstick you have nothing to worry about. If so you need to take her to the dealer to get her chkd since you have the warranty.

The
special dipstick is extra long to be able to be used in all the different models that the 722.6 trans is in.Once at the bottom it usually sticks up about 11 inches from the top of the fill tube to the bottom of the red handle.For best shift quality you want the fluid at operating temp to measure with the engine running up to the upper most 80c mark.That leads to the best shifting and least foam.
if over 60k change it no matter what it looks like new filter and mb spec fluid only.

Thanks will change it when it hits 50k mark. I'm still learning about the CLK 55 only had it less than a week.
