my spare is ****ed and the dealer wants $300 for a new one.

I have been told many times that Smart Keys cannot be reprogramed once programed to a car for obvious security reasons.

$300 is outrageous for a new key. Last I checked they were going for high $100s around $200 for a new key, and it will be the new one with the Silver sides.

I was at my dealer yesterday. I too need a spare key. The cost is $220.00 payable in advance and it takes two days. You get the newer key.
