What are th associated gains(hp/tq) with this muffler and how much does it weigh compared with a standard 55 exhaust?

Gains with any muffler are relatively small. I would expect about 3-5hp max. I don't know the exact weights of either, but I would guess weight savings would be around 20lbs.

Thanks,

Ben

Is there ANY way to pick up 25 hp or so for this car without spending 4 grand?

I haven't seen any exhausts available for it, which I assume would get me in that ballpark.

Underdrive pulleys underdrive (give less power) to accessories that run off the specific pulleys. Gains and RELIABILITY depend on how much they are underdriven. Our pulleys are designed to keep full reliability/functionability and include the alternator pulley, water pump pulley, and power steering pump pulley. The reason why we make the underdrive pulleys is because from the factory, these accessories are given much more power than necessary.

The only complication would be if you have a large power drain, such as an aftermarket stereo. If so, you wouldn't want to underdrive your alternator, as it would be working harder, and eventually could drain your battery.

Some companies (although we are the only MB pulley manufacturers) change the crank pulley in order to get the same gains. We have chosen not to, as we already have the maximum efficient gains, with no risk to the engine. Changing the crank pulley would create an unneccessary risk to an otherwise riskfree product.

Our underdrive pulleys will add 13hp at the wheels (dyno proven). Unlike other mods that aren't effective until high rpms, this power is present right when you step on the gas in first gear.

It's a simple concept... The engine's accessories (water pump, alternator, and power steering pump) take power away from the engine that could be used elsewhere. We simply give them less power, so that power can be used at the wheels (where it belongs). And if you have a large power drain, simply don't use the alternator pulley.

Our pulley kit comes with 3 pulleys and a belt, and is $499.

Feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

Thanks,
Ben
