quick question

hiya can anyone help just lowerd my clk 55 208 with hnr spings and didny see any difference still about 4 inches from top of rim 2 arch handling much improved thou any ideas? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

It is somewhat unclear on what you are asking but I will take a guess at your questions. First, the H&R springs for the CLK55 should lower the car considerably (possibly 2 inches up front and 1.75 inches in the rear). The bump pads that sit on top of the springs make a significant difference as well.

I would confirm that you have the correct H&R springs for your CLK55. If you do then purchase thinner bump pads. The hassle is that you have to remove the springs again to swap out the pads.

My H&R springs give me only "1 pinky finger" gap between the tire and the rim, which is on the almost to low side. Good luck

sorry for not being speccific was still at work but this is bugging me sohad 2 find many out thanx 4 the repply. my car is a 2000 avantguard on original 18s springs are correct according to the box and they whent on just fine slightly shorter than my originals but i can still fit 2 fingers between tire and arch only fitted them on friday do they take time to settle?

all springs take time to settle. give it a few weeks and if you still dont see a difference you will need to put in thinner pads like previously suggested. my coilovers took a couple of weeks to fully settle. we had to adjust them twice.

Very true. Good point on the springs settling. They will continue to drop of the next 1.5 months. I wouldn't change anything yet as a one finger final distance is very possible for you.

How u all doing i know i was told to wait a bit but i tried to get my hands on some 1 bump pads and found they are not available for a clk 55 so in turn i got some that are for a clk 430 part no 2103210184 im prity sure theyl go on but need a bit of reassurance and alsso my local dealership said the front and rear are the same is that true? just want to make sure before i take it all apart again. 19 on the way also il get some pix up when i got them on and my car dosent look like its on stilts
