02' CLK55- What size is the inlet on the muffler?

Trying to replace mine with a custom exhaust. What size is the muffler inlet/outlet (along with pipe size into the muffler)

Hey, I'm also wanting to delete the resonators, can you describe the exhaust from the cats to the resonators? Also, I can't find any mufflers with 2.75 inlet size. What should I do about that? Should I get a 3.00 inch inlet muffler and just do an adaper before the muffler?

The pipe size out of the cats are 2.375. If you are going to remove the resonator use a 2.5 to 3 inch y pipe and run a 3" pipe back to the muffler. any good muffler shop can do the work.

this is the muffler im going to use 14329 polished or 11229 unpolished then just pick a tip that you like.

Have you sized those to make sure they fit in there?

the w209 is three inches but not sure about the 208
