Exclamation Hood emblem replacement on W209

Hi guys - well, I am not sure how to replace the hood emblem on my W209 55. Any help is appreciated.

I wanted to replace mine a while back with the AMG badge but when you pop the hood there's no way to get at the emblem. Its not like on the E-class for example where you can pop the star off from underneath. With the W209 it almost looks like you have to pry it off somehow. Or remove that material under the hood covering it. Either way it didn't look easy so I gave up on that mod.
I hope that helps. Doesn't look like the kind of thing you want to start prying off with a screwdriver.

its very easy. Just get a very thin plastic wedge or you can use a credit card or license and put some blue painters tape in front of the emblem. The try to slip the car under and it should pop out pretty easy. Its just held in by to little rubber grommets.

The other reason I didn't bother was the AMG badge I ordered had a big metal screw/post coming out the bottom. Not sure it would fit.
