Probably like 10-15hp. Not much you could do with these cars. But it sure does move stock!

Depending on the chip, you might get a bit more. But I agree with Jons - the returns will be more in your head than on the dyno. Headers are probably the single best power producing mod you can do short of forced induction or nitrous. The stock motor has a log style exhaust manifold like your grandfather's Olsmobile. Kleemann or another good product could be good for 20 HP or even more with the right set up on down the line (racing cats...).

Put everything together and you can get up to about 400 HP at the crank - like the SLK 55 Black Series.

Kleemann does chips and judigng from various posts they have good expertise and customer service. But there are other vendors out there. I can't really make recommendations - I'm still running stock.

Well.....

AMG did not leave too much on the table for you to pick up with out some exstensive mods.

There is a 2003 CLK55 with over 400hp normally aspirated out there.
He did headers and full exhaust. Cams, head work and intake work.

There is always more to be had. However the old question holds true.

"How fast do you want to go? How much money have you got to spend!!"

Good luck and let us know how things work out.

Yes, I have 420 Bhp at the crank and 600 Nm in Kleemanns dyno in Denmark with their headers, full exhaust+Race cats and K&N air filters. And to top this up I went for a unique special ECU made here in Sweden.

Next step will probably be AMS pulley and maybe a camshaft and I might be looking for another 20-30 Hp and I'm still on a N/A engine

You might want to have BlackBenzz to chime in...he has a heavily modified (and sweet looking) black W208...I think he has tried about everything...

It's nothing more then a unique tuning of the ECU where you go in and make the tune unique after my cars engine condition. It's not a pre-programmed/mass produced program, I found 10+ Hp and 40 Nm at the wheels compared to the chip/tune I had done earlier in my car.
I guess this can be made in US also? And IMHO it's the best way to tune a car just becaused it's based on the cars unique condition and what mods that have been done on it.

One off ECU-tunes are by far the best and strongest options, the problem is they are the hardest to do b/c the car has to be there on-site and dyno tested many times between tunes to truly finely tune them. but they usually can produce an additional 50-100% extra over a standard mass produced tune.

Great numbers Abalone, 450 crank HP is a great goal for an NA engine and shouldn't be to hard as that is still "only" 81HP/L which is up significantly from the stock 67HP/L .
