Winter rims

Hi
I have a 2005 CLK 55 with the stock 18 inch rims. Does anybody know if I can put 17's on the AMG.?

I don't see why not. You would probably want a higher profile (middle) tire size. Dunno what the stock 18's are, but if they were 245 40 zr 18, maybe a 245 45 zr 17 would be suited well. I believe those are the appropriate sizes for the w208 17 vs 18

17s should work fine. The stock sizes were 225/45-17 (f) and 245-40-17 (r) IIRC.

for same width staggered winter wheels in 17", i would recommend:
225/45/17 and 255/40/17

If you get all 17x8 wheels, maybe 245/40/17

my 2003 W209 55 came with 17's from the factory. i am currently using those as my winter wheels. Stock sizes are 225/45/17 up front and 245/40/17 in the rear.

My wheels right now are 17 inch as long as the wheel is AMG they should work perfectly

Thanks. I also checked the spare tire and it is a 17 inch.
