kleemann headers on CLK55

Hey guys I've had my CLK w209 for over a year now I got it used and two months ago I blew my engine. I got it covered under warranty and I asked the local dealership if it was ok if I brought some of my own parts in.

I had them install Kleeman headers for me and im still waiting for my Eisenmann exhaust to get here. But in the mean while the dealership wont weld anything for me so my downpipes are not connected to my exhaust system and it is going to take about a month for my exhaust to get here and I doubt it would fit with out a welding job or maybe secondary cats in between.

Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions for me. I do not want to mess with my stock exhaust because I want to sell it and it might not be worth it since I am changing the exhaust anyways.

thanks guys

Are you looking to sell your CLK55 with a blown engine?

I think he wants to sell his stock exhaust system.

FYI- Eisenmann "exhaust" is actually a muffler. You still use the stock piping in between. You have to weld your kleemann downpipes to the current exhaust and then when the eisenmann muffler comes in you can replace the stock muffler

Thank you for the input!
This means I can have my car up and running by tomorrow if its just a matter of welding those down pipes I just wanted to know if there were another way.

My engine blew while I was driving on the highway not even the dealer could tell what caused it so I was covered by warranty and I already have my new engine in the car and I was waiting on a connection solution between the down pipes and the exhaust without welding thinking that it would ruin my stock exhaust by welding and than cutting for the other exhaust so your answer makes my life easier now. I'll just get it done tomorrow and have her running again

We need some pics of this, and yes the Eisenmann is a muffler that bolts right up to the stock piping.

New engine and Kleemann Headers! Sounds like a deal....I would find a local Muffler shop and have them weld things up...

Once it's up in running, please share some Video's!

Please post your impressions of the Kleemann headers and downpipes. I would get the full Kleemann tune with those headers also....
