*GROUP BUY* Euroteck CF spoiler for w209 (Vorsteiner Style)

Attention: CLK w209 owners looking for more carbon fiber parts!!!

Neal at euroteck motorsports has agreed to do a vorsteiner style CF spoiler. I have been emailing him back and forth. Here is what he said:

He said they tried to do a group buy but it fell apart. If we can get one together he will make it. He didnt know the exact details of the previous group but told me:

1. It needs to be at least 10 people
2. the spoiler will cost $500 some odd dollars
3. full payment upfront before he makes it is required

The vorsteiner spoiler is $2000 at evosport.com
I think those terms are very reasonable.
here are some pics of the spoiler (from evosport and vorsteiner website). It adds so much to the back of the CLK!!!

Im not sure. the w203 and w209 have very similar parts but I would say that the trunk might be different sizes and shape...

Would it look good if I mold the spoiler onto the trunk? leaving the carbon fiber expose on the top? sorta like the BMW M3 CSL trunk. thoughts?

This group buy will never happen just like the last group buy we try to put together and the whole thread got deleted by Evosport (I'm guessing) when we were nearing to the # of group buy.

Same here I am really looking forward to do something to my AMG. They dont make the CLK anymore so I want o do even more to make it unique and stand out. This will be an amazing addition. I wish vorsteiner made a CF hood too.

I'd probably color match the spoiler since I don't have any other CF parts right now. If I were to get a CF lip, I might leave the end of the spoiler CF.

I'm really curious on how this would look if it were molded to the trunk.

Right now I have a CF front lip from euroteck and CF diffuser from euro rev. I want the spoiler and then purhaps make a custom piece to add to the back of my side skirts or CF wheels. I havent decided.

I am looking to get at least four people. With four people it will cost around $700 each (estimate). The more people I can get the cheaper it will be.

On top of that, I will need someone in the the Oceanside, CA area to let him work off your car/trunk.

we will not be buying the original spoiler to make the mold. Lensolo from MyMBonline.com is going to do it. He will be fabricating, shaping, and prototyping from scratch to make master pattern of mold. I went to him after he posted his carbon fiber services thread.

Ok guys sorry for the long delay... Lensolo's shop wont fit an entire car. So, I have been searching for a trunk to send to him to start the mold. No luck. But I just received word from another well known company (Extreme Dimensions) that if there is enough interest they will take on the job.

I have never been involved in one of these group sales. Do they actually work? Any proven out sales of this kind been had by someone on this forum? I know paranoia.That spoiler is just sweet. If 500 or so was the price for one that fits perfectly like OEM, It is tempting. Mike
