Work Wheels??

Has anybody tried those wheels before? I am planning to install 19" on my clk55 and was wondering about the quality?

I am so jealous of how SoCalCLK's car looks now , but I couldnt find Brabus wheels for a fair price

here is the link to their web site

I've always liked WORK and thought about picking up a set - they're priced reasonably.

Hey Wal, thanks for the compliment buddy. You can always buy my rims later!

Work wheels are dope. I remember back in high school and college a couple guys I knew had them and they are a solid rim. What design/style were you thinking about for the CLK?

Thanks guys

well I like the Varianza T1S model which is close to the AMG twin-spoke

and I am installing H&R springs too, but what confuses me , the guy said there is no need for fender rolling and he sounded that he knows what is he talking about (I hope), also he claims he did 10 clk55's before!!!! so is it really fender rolling is not necessary ???

That's a nice looking wheel! As for the fender rolling, if you are going with an 18" rim and lowering the car with H&R, then not really necessary. However if you are going with 19" and lowering the car with H&R, I would highly recommend it.

It would spare the low-profile tires from being shredded/cut by an unrolled fender in a sharp turn, etc. I had mine done, and the Brabus springs are not as aggressive in lowering stance as the H&Rs.

just be sure the offsets are right. i bought some keskin KT1's before settling on my Ray's and the guy assured me they would fit. We got them and test fit the fronts and no dice. they would not clear the front calipers and with spacers they were pushed outside the fender.

Thanks for the advice, but those will be custom made to fit the CLK and not off the shelf but what i just knew today....... they will take 2 months to arrive that sucks ... unless if i pay $400 extra for air freight .. and winter is coming back in early september here so i will end up with 1 month only to enjoy the ride

four months sounds like a long time but i bet that is the norm for custom wheels. i bought my Rays through tirerack.com and was actually shocked to find a forged two piece wheel option there. i did have to add some spacers to clear my coilovers and to get the stance in the rear perfect.

That really is a lucky find to have found those wheels from Tirerack. I enjoy dealing with Tirerack, but their wheel selection for MBZ just sucks.

I love how those RAYS wheels look on your car dude!

Thanks for the props. Like most cars it looks even better in person. i am rolling with less than a one finger fender gap and in my opinion the suspension is as soft as it was when rolling stock. the stock bilsteins are pretty stiff.
