05 -vs - 06 CLK55

Greetings all,

The time has come for me to as they said on the Jefferson's, " Move on Up". I test drove a 06 CLK 55 today w/18000 miles and was totally BLOWN away! The pure sound of that V8 awoke things up in me that I had thought lay dormant. The acceleration was outsanding as the salesman would attest too as I sat his ass back in the seat a couple of times during the drive. In addition, the look that this car projects is pure AMG and I envy you all who own these fine rides. My question being, is there any difference between an 05 and 06? I welcome any and all of your expert opinions.

2005 had hard top coupe and convertible. I believe 2006 was just Convertible, no regular hard top coupe.

Was 2006 the CLK63 convert or was it 2007 the CLK63 convert?

Stiggs, If what the salesperson said is correct, the 06 was the last year of the CLK55 and 07 was the CLK63. The o6 was just made in the Cabriolet .

go coupe, no drop...having all the windows dropped out will be more than enough "exposure" lol unless ur a fan of the topless look...anyway, good luck!

05-06 Cab is the same, nothing changed
05 is the last coupe year (05 only quad exhaust)
