Looking for a W208 grille

Hi,

I just joined the party. On monday I bought a white 2002 clk55.

Love the car but I don't like the front grill I have. I did a search and there was a lot of talk but not that many pictures. So heres my question:

What grilles are out there for a w208?

The one I have is similar to the one on the right

I bought an '02 CLK 430. When I got it he had an emblem grille on it like you show on the left. In the trunk was the original that I put back on. I still have the emblem grille.

The grill on the right is OEM stock. Various after market 'big star' grills like the one of the left are available. Some MB dealers were installing big stars even when the cars were brand new. My car sold in Germany was one and when I bought it second hand the new stock factory grill and stand-up star were tucked into the trunk.

Now that the 208 is a decade old, I am starting to like the factory grill more and more. After all, the original CLK was one of the very last sporty MB products to have the traditional set up. It's nostalgia with muscle. The fabulous CLK GTR captures the look best.

After four happy years of big star motoring, I think for me it's time to change -- to stock.
