2nd request: Are there any exhaust headers available for the 209 CLK?
I didn't receive a reply the first time, so I assume that there aren't any headers available for the current CLK55, but I figured that I'd ask again anyway. The stock headers look VERY restrictive, and the cats look restrictive as well. I'm not sure that you can do much with the cats without sending some sort of alarm signal to the ECU. Will using aftermarket catalytic converters cause that sort of problem? The exhaust system from the cat-back, looks like it flows very well, with a wide (3"?), mandrel bent pipe. The muffler may be restrictive, but I'm sure that the headers and cats are by far the biggest restriction to exhaust flow. If you haven't taken a good look at your headers, go and take a gander at them. You'll be really surprised how lame the factory exhaust manifold looks (I wouldn't even call them "headers"!). I feel as if there are more than a couple ponies jammed up in there. Please let me know what you think...
Best regards,
Matt

Headers will realistically gain about 15-20hp on the car. For the cost (including installation), you would be better starting with other performance upgrades first.
