The beast is here!!

Well I picked up my W209 CLK55 this past Saturday. All I have to say is....WOW.

This is by far the nicest car I could ever ask for. This blows my old W208 CLK430 out of the water.

Of course there are some things that I don't like. The radio in this new car isn't as nice as the radio in the old CLK. I can't get the bass booming like in the W208. Not that it was loud or anything, but still nice.

And the cupholder...or should I say lack of! I still can't get over the fact there is no more center cup holder!!

Overall the car is great...I will hopefully post some pics in the picture thread soon.

Until then...I'll be driving this beast like a mad man!!!!
Oh yeah....already driven it on the highway.....I think people are going to hurt their necks the way they twist around to look at this car!!!

Congrats! So did you buy or lease? How much was everything out the door? Any plans for mods? Pics?

Well I decided to buy this time...no more leasing for me...bad deal!!! The car was a little over $72K out the door (before CT state tax......no more luxury tax!!!). I ordered Bi-Xenons, rear window sunshade and cd changer. The dealership took off $500 because the car came from another dealership with the Merlot colored seats. I ordered just charcoal seats and the dealer didn't check to see what color seats this car had. To tell you the truth I really like these seats and would have taken the car as is anyways....but -$500 doesn't hurt. The dealership also threw in some 5 year warranty on the paint, wax , tires(flat) and rims. Have no idea what it does for me, but it didn't cost me anything so what the heck, I'll take it!! any damage to the tires or rims is covered for 5 years. Also if the wax or paint loses its shine its redone for free for 5 years also. I also was able to get a finance rate of 4.9%, so that was no too bad.

as far as mods go...I would love to replace the tires with some nice 18 inchers like the ones on the E55. But that sounds like to much $$$$$ right now.

Give me a few days for the pics...likely I will post them in the picture thread. I'm too busy now with work to go out and take pics in the sunshine!!!

I'm sure you found it by now, the cup holder is in the upper dash to the right of the center stack.

Best of luck with your new baby
