Change instrument cluster

I have a clk 320 and i wanted to change my instrument cluster to a clk 55 version. I called mercedes and they dont even know if it would work. They told me that if i wanted it, it would cost around 900 bucks and if the cluster doesn't work i can't get a refund. Anyone have any experience with this? It will work - it's just a direct swap. A lot of people have done this. Try to find a parts department that will sell to you at wholesale though - $900 buck is a lot to pay for gauges.
