How many W208 CLK55s are out there?

Obviously they can't make any more W208 CLK55s. Anybody know how many were made for the US total for 01/02 model years?? Coupe only, no cabrio -Thanks.

Hard to tell, MB won't release the actual numbers.
I'd say around 4000 total 01-02 CLK55 Coupes.

I wonder if there's a way we could all figure this out (approx) by shouting out some specific digits in our VINs. Are VINs sequential?

I don't have the details but believe it was like 1200 CLK55's in '01 and around 2000 in '02. If IU recall correctly, there were only about 800 ofthe CLK55Cab's delivered to the US. So,total only 3800 CLK55 208's in USA.
