2001 Vs. 2002 CLK 55

I am in the market for a CLK, are there any differences between the 2001 and 2002 models in terms of features? Anybody know where I can get a good lease on one of these? Thanks, Hopefully I will have a BEAST in my driveway within a month!

did you mean to write 2001 v 2002? both were 208s.
no matter, i'm on my third 208, a fully-optioned 2002 55. in march, i got it as a leftover from MB of west chester, outside of philly. they made a great deal. and considering how little i like the 209 body, i was ecstatic.

Yes, I ment 2001 Vs. 2002, I much prefer the body style of the W208

get the 2002.

but i must say that my GF's, her father's and my 2002 all suffer interior panel movement over uneven pavement and driveway curb-breaks that produces creaking sounds.

my previous CLKs were '99 and '00 430s. neither produced those sounds.

still, mechanically and electronically, my 2002 is far superior to both predecessors.

I think the only difference is a software upgrade.
Not 100% sure though.

i believe the only differences may be minor convenience features, key redesign. but then i may be referring inadvertantly to changes from 2000 to 2001.

i'd get the most recent model year.

The cars were basically the same except for the following:

1. The 2002's have a safety release inside the trunk.
2. The 2002's have different hubcaps (chrome star)

There may have been one or two minor option differences as well (Exclusive leather was listed as an option in the '01 catalog, but not found in the '02), etc.
