Wink Daddy is going Bye-Bye

Well, my fellow ///AMG admirers, it has been 16 months since I bought my ///AMG and now the time has come for me to move on, I really enjoyed the experience that I had with the ///AMG. It is and always will be one of my favorite cars. But like all enthusiast, I yearn for a different experience. I spend many of days/night reviewing performance stats, newsgroups, real world problems and accomplishments. Well the time is here for me to bow and exit stage right. I have have chosen to go back to my roots, my first real experience of true sport car/cruiser was a Porsche, A marvel of technical achievements, driving dynamics and finally grace bar none. The reasoning behind my choice were based on the following criteria:

Handling
Braking
Transmission
Fun Factor
Track Factor
Beauty

I found the 996 C4 is a perfect compromise of all listed above. In all decisions there is compromise. One has to take into account such as important matters as: Usability, Functionality. I live in northern New Jersey on the north face of Mt. Fern, winter is a ***** here, snow is your constant companion, 5 months a year. With that said AWD solution was very important. No more nights thinking about driving the ///AMG is the snow again, I've seen my life flash too many dam times already... Anyway I had four Porsches in the past (944 Turbo 86 - 88 993-RS - 986 -00 - 986S 01). With A 911/996 the experience is so different in comparison to the ///AMG. Remember My Brothers, it all relative.

Best of luck to you all, ///AMG BLESS - - - - I take my leave now.......

P.S. I attached a picture of next experience.

Is his name 'Al' or does he live in Alabama? (we could use some more AMG's here in the South)

On the topic of this thread, I have enjoyed your willingness to share your insights and experiences with the CLK55. Yours has been a testament to the robustness of MB quality as well as the high performance of this particular model.

You will be missed

Have fun with the new ride! Good luck and check back with us on occasion

Damn the only CLK owner other than me in Randolph is now leaving! We should meet up some day man, how ironic that we live in the same town... well good luck with the Porsche, let me know what dealership you are getting it from because my mom is planing on buying my dad a Boxster for his 50th b-day. Good luck and make sure you visit!!
