Speedometer needle issue.

My speedometer needle is acting weird. Everytime it hits the 40 mph mark, it doesn't swing smoothly between 40 mph mark and 80 mph mark. It swings as if it's like a clock or a wrist watch. Kinda like the seconds hand on a Tag Heuer instead of the hands on a Rolex wrist watch. Sorry if I described it this way, but this is the closest description I could give. Any thoughts on these.

Mine does this too! It doesn't happen all the time though. I found out that when it's very hot outside (it gets around 100 degrees here in TX) and my car sits out there for a while, I can reproduce this. Otherwise, it doesn't happen. Kinda hard to show the dealer b/c of this. He thinks I'm seeing things!

Friend, yes we have the same problem on the speedo. Every morning when I drive to work, there's no problem. It always happen in the afternoon. Although I saw it happened at night after driving the car for several hours, I also think it's temperature related not only from the outside but also from the inside when the console warms up. At first, I thought it has something to do after I lowered my car. But it can't be.

Thanks Burat. I'll heading to the dealer here next week. Now that I've confirmed that someone else has seen this issue, I'll have them try to fix it. I'll let you know what they tell me.
