My new baby arrived

After waiting 12 months for an E55, I decided to purchase the CLK55 convertible. Amazing car and more than fast enough. Also gets many more looks than a sedan would. I love it.

Enjoy your CLK55 and break it in nicely. Not to burst your bubble but you may have been able to find a buyer who backed out when the car was delivered or find another dealer who had an extra or could get one. For 79,000 msrp at 469 hp you may feel it makes more sense than 70,000 msrp and 362 hp. That extra 9k for over 100 hp seems worth it. But you can always trade up when the E55 becomes more available. Sorry if I rained on your parade, anyhow enjoy your new car.

I wanted a brand new car. Untouched by others. And really having driven the E55 it's very fast but after a while, just a very fast sedan which if driven to it's limits would put me in jail. I personally wanted a convertible.

Don't let others try and tell you the E55 is a better "deal".
There is no such thing as a "deal" when you buy any one of these cars. They are all great. Lets all just be happy with what we have!
Needed to vent there for a while.

I had an E-55, now I have an CLK-55 Cab. Less funky electronics. It's just as fast and handles a lot better. Plus you can't beat the convertable. The E-55 may be better on paper but the CLK is better on the road.
